A YouTuber and Life Coach named Anita warned women after her friendâs kidney was allegedly stolen during a Brazilian Butt Lift surgery (BBL) in the Dominican Republic.
Anita shared her friendâs terrifying experience in a video titled, âThey Sold Her Kidney, life for her will never be the same | BBL HORROR STORY.â
âShe went for a physical, and then she was just complaining of body aches, headaches, you know, just feeling really heavy all the time. So she went to the doctor, and the doctor tells her, âHey, we just got your blood results. Why is your Kidney count low? During the CAT scan, it shows up that she only has one kidney,â she said in the video.
According to WebMD, a BBL is an extremely popular surgery in which âa doctor transfers fat from your abdomen, hips, lower back, or thighs to your buttocks.â Anitaâs friend, in this case, flew to the Dominican Republic to receive the procedure but began suffering complications when she returned to the U.S.
âSo down in the D.R., this botch organ-selling doctor took one of her kidneys, and she thought she was getting the steal of her life,â Anita said. She added that her friend paid $3,500 for the cosmetic surgery, as it was a deal she allegedly came across via Instagram.
While the YouTuber and Life Coach doesnât mind that women want to get their bodies altered, she feels itâs been getting out of it.
âThis is one of the most dangerous surgeriesâŠWhen did it become such a trend to just roll the dice? âI might die, I might not die. I might have three to four kids, but I wanna get a BBL.â Half of these people with BBLs donât have a man, so Iâm just like, what is going on, guys? Why do you wanna put your life on the line?â
Over the past decade, numerous women have died from risky BBL surgery. News Onyx even reported that an NYC Corrections Captain died from the procedure after a problematic doctor performed one on her in the Dominican Republic.
