According to KSAT, Yordi Barthelemy has been charged with capital murder for the fatal shootings of three women and assault family violence after a shooting at a South Padre, Texas condominium on Saturday, August 6.
South Padre Island police officers responded to a “family disturbance” on that night. Once they arrived, they found three women dead from what looked like gunshot wounds.
The women have been identified as Odalys Hernandez, 46, Zulema Hernandez-Napoles, 47, and Sandra Napoles, 65, and all died from their injuries.
According to reports, the women involved were Houston natives.
Barthelemy fled the scene and later decided to turn himself in. He was finally arrested in Port Isabel.
Police reported that Barthelemy is from Kerens, a city located over 500 miles north of South Padre Island, where the incident took place.
