WNBA star Candace Parker recently showed off a pair of Adidas sneakers that her 12-year-old daughter, Lailaa Nicole Williams, specially designed for her.
On the court during Mother’s Day weekend, Parker debuted the colorful kicks, called the Exhibit B sneakers, as she began the 2022 WNBA season with her new team– the Chicago Sky– against her former team, the Los Angeles Sparks.
The game took place at Wintrust Arena in Chicago on May 6.
Williams presented the sneakers to her mom ahead of the opening game, which the Chicago Sky player shared via her Instagram page on Apr. 4.
“These are the moments I live for as a mother. My daughter surprised me for Mother’s Day and spent the past year designing these custom @adidasbasketballMother’s Day Exhibit B PE shoes for me,” she wrote.
“She is my reason and my purpose, and having her with me on the court last night in this spirit meant the world to me. Each detail is a memory shared between us, and I could not be prouder to have debuted these at last night’s game. I love you, Lailaa Nicole. #teamadidas.”

The sneakers featured colors of the teams Parker has played for up until now, including red for Naperville Central High School, orange for the University of Tennessee, purple for the Los Angeles Sparks, and blue for the Chicago Sky.
It also featured tributes to her, which said “For Mom,” and her college coach, the late Pat Summitt, with the phrases, “For Pat. Left Foot. Right Foot. Breathe. Repeat.”
Summitt served as the head coach for the University of Tennessee Lady Volts basketball team from 1974 to 2012. She scored 1,098 career wins, which was the most in college basketball history, by the time she retired.
Williams’ custom sneakers won’t be up for sale, but Parker’s first sneakers, Adidas’ Exhibit A, were already released. A new pair is set to be released in Summer 2022.
