VP Kamala Harris Slams Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis And Laughs At Former VP Mike Pence’s Stupidity

Vice President Kamala Harris set Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis in his place and showed the world that former Vice President Mike Pence is a liar during an interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Wednesday.

Colbert brought up DeSantis publicly opposing the United States providing financial aid to Ukraine amid their war with Russia, explicitly calling it a “territorial dispute.”

When asked her thoughts, Harris dexterously slammed

DeSantis with her response.

“When you have had the experience of meeting and understanding the significance, again, of international rules and norms – and the importance of the United States of America standing firm and clear about the significance of sovereignty and territorial integrity, the significance of standing firm against any nation that would try to take by force another nation,” she remarked.

The VP dropped the mic with, “If you really understand the issues, you probably would not make statements like that.”

The aid DeSantis referred to was the billions of dollars the United States gave to Ukraine. According to the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, Congress

approved over $113 billion of aid and military assistance to the Ukrainian government and allied nations for support.

Later in the segment, Colbert asked Harris to clarify if she was in the Executive or Legislative branches because he made excuses for ignoring the Justice Department’s subpoena for his testimony regarding the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.

He claimed he couldn’t because he was a Legislative branch member,” the LA Times reported.

“I am in Executive branch,” she told the audience, laughing.

“Is it like check one? Do you get to pick when you in there?” Colbert joked.

“It’s a fact as Vice President of the United States, I’m also President of the Senate and that’s been the case for every Vice President before me,” she continued. “That is a fact. But this is, without any question, the Executive branch of government.”
