VIDEO: Father Of Three Hits $10,000 Half-Court Shot At Milwaukee Bucks

A Milwaukee dad threw an all-net half-court shot and won $10,000 at an NBA game that was honoring his son.

Germelle Scott, Sr. had taken his family to a Milwaukee Bucks game on November 21. According to WISN, the doting father of three, who works two jobs to provide for his clan, was at the basketball game to watch the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer (MACC) Fund pay homage to his 7-year-old son, Germelle Scott, Jr. His namesake suffers from sickle cell anemia.

While attending the basketball game, the man decided to try his luck at winning the ten stacks after Fiserv employees encouraged him to literally shoot his shot for the payday– given on behalf of the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino.

“It was a night for him,” Germelle told WISN. “I said, ‘Sure, why not? Sign me up.'”

The former high school baller shared that he hadn’t held a rock since 2015. It was all good, though. Germelle quickly realized that he still had game. The father of three showed off his skills on the basketball court. He made a layup, hit a free throw and finally hit the “Jackpot Shot” from half-court.

The ten-thousandaire said that although winning the money was exciting, his favorite moment from the Milwaukee Bucks game was seeing Junior on the jumbotron.

“I was just thinking if it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be here right now. So yeah, he’s (speaking of his son) going to have a nice Christmas,” he said. “I checked the recording. He was cheering, saying, ‘Daddy made it. Daddy made it. Daddy made it.”

Although Germelle said that he would ensure his family had a stellar Christmas holiday, he also plans to use part of the $10,000 to launch his own business. He didn’t disclose what type of venture it would be.

We wish them the best!
