Meet twin brothers Warner and Waverly Watkins, the founders and designers of Brownstone, one of the newest Black-owned menswear brands to be sold in fashion retail giant Nordstrom.
The brand boasts of contemporary designs created by the Watkins brothers themselves and has caught the attention of the likes of famous celebrities and athletes such as LeBron James, Chris Paul, Daniel Kaluuya, and Tyrod Taylor who have been seen wearing the clothes.
Most recently, Brownstone released its newest collection exclusively at Nordstrom. The collection, which was inspired by mid-century artists David Stone Martin and Charles Eames, features casual staples, such as washed-out T-shirts, pullover hoodies, reversible jackets, classic cardigans, and cargo pants.
The brand’s Nordstrom launch is a part of the luxury department chain’s “Concept 12: Black_Space” initiative to celebrate Black creativity in fashion curated by five renowned Black artists. 28 different Black-owned brands, including Brownstone, were chosen.
The collection is now available for purchase in more than 100 Nordstrom stores across the country or online at Nordstrom.com.
