As the saying goes, be careful who you choose to procreate with. Canadian-American baller Tristan Thompson is learning that lesson with ex and first baby mama Jordan Briani Craig.
The Daily Mail reported that the 32-year-old’s salary receded to $9.2 million after making over $17 million while playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers during the 2019-2020 season. On May 14, 2019, Craig petitioned the basketball player to pay $40,000 monthly in child support for their 6-year-old son, Prince Craig Thompson.
However, despite Thompson’s depreciating salary, the 32-year-old model doesn’t give a rat’s ass about it and is ensuring the $40,000 monthly child support payments are perpetual.
According to the outlet, Craig filed an “abstract of judgment” in a Los Angeles court on Aug. 9, a legal document summarizing all of the vital elements of a court judgment, from the agreed-upon award amount and the parties involved to the orders the defendant must obey.
The purpose of the abstract of judgment is to condense the court decision details, making it more accessible for public reference.
The outlet added that the abstract didn’t indicate she hadn’t received Thompson’s payments, but kudos to Craig for ensuring Prince gets all the coins he deserves.
Thompson and Craig got together in 2014 and had Prince in 2016. However, their relationship spoiled in 2019. Craig alleged Thompson cheated on her with Khloé Kardashian — whom he shares True and Tatum Thompson with — during her pregnancy with their son.
Karma came around when outlets reported Thompson cheated on the Kardashian with her sister, Kylie Jenner’s, best friend Jordyn Woods.
Thompson couldn’t stop his playboy ways because he reportedly began messing around with fitness model Maralee Nichols and impregnated her. She gave birth to her son, Theo, who doesn’t get the luxury his siblings — True, Tatum and Prince — get, which is having their father in their lives.
Nonetheless, Maralee and Theo are doing just fine without Thompson.
