According to TMZ, a Celebrity Tour bus driver was fired on July 17 because he was caught on video calling someone the N-Word.
The outlet said the driver was not a TMZ employee but worked for Exclusive Livery Service, which owns the bus that TMZ leases.
The TMZ tour was not in progress at the time, and there weren’t any passengers on board when the incident took place.
The show’s two-hour bus tour takes tourists through different parts of California, including Hollywood, West Hollywood, The Sunset Strip, and Beverly Hills, to visit places where frequent in the day today.
A video posted to Twitter showed the driver angrily yelling at someone and admitting to having used the racial slur to refer to him.
The footage begins with the driver and a man behind the camera engaged in an argument.
The driver then yells, saying that he will sue the other man, who’s demanding confirmation that the driver just called him the N-word.
“Touch me. I’ll f*****g sue your ass,” the driver said to the man recording.
“You called me a N****r. Did he call me a N****r?” the man filming asked another man who was standing nearby.
“Yeah, yeah,” the driver repeatedly stated. “Yeah, I did!”
The man recording then motioned over to someone standing farther away near a gas pump and asked if he had heard the driver call him the N-word, too.
