ABC 13 reported that Valeesha Duncan was fatally shot in the garage of her Katy, Texas home after a gunman fired 50 rounds of bullets at her car.
Harris County sheriff’s deputies arrived at the home in the 18700 block of Appletree Hill Lane and found Duncan with multiple gunshot wounds in the garage.

Timothy Richard, the father of Duncan’s son, said, “She was a good person. Really sweet, very kind.’
“Something like this is crazy. It’s always happening to good people,” he added.
Duncan’s family members and Richard attempted to gather information from the crime scene but did not get much.
Officers said that the car in which Duncan was found had several bullet holes in it.
“That was my friend, my best friend. We have a child together,” said Richard.
Rhonda Thorton, a neighbor who was awakened by the gunshots, said, “I feel safe living here. I never worry about closing my eyes. We mostly have just a few things going on, maybe unlocked cars getting broken into, something getting stolen out of a garage, but other than that, nothing like this.”
Investigators are unsure if Duncan was the intended target of the shooting or if it was meant to be someone else who lives at the house.
“She was supposedly coming [home] from work,” Major Susan Cotter said. “She works at a gentlemen’s club in the Galleria area.”
“At this point, we’re waiting on a search warrant of the residence so we can conduct a full search of that house,” Cotter said.
