South Africa rugby union player Sbu Nkosi has been reported as missing by the team for which he’s played, the Blue Bulls.
According to BBC, Nkosi has been reported to the police as a missing person, his club announced on Dec. 3. In an official statement.
A spokesperson for the Blue Bulls said, “Sbu Nkosi has been absent without leave for the past three weeks.” The team added that they’ve attempted “phone calls, texts messages, calls to relatives, partner and close friends as well as four house visits to his known place of residence,” to no avail. The alleged lack of contact has led to “grave worry and concern.”
The 26-year-old winger reportedly missed the Springboks’ autumn internationals due to a rib injury, but not much else information on his whereabouts has been shared. The Bulls said the last time they were in contact with Nkosi was on Nov. 11 and that they opened a missing person case with the police just six days later. The Pretoria-based team reportedly sent officials to locate Nkosi at his home four times and are currently relying on “the expert assistance of the South African Police Services” to find him.
The South African rugby player played 16 tests for the Springboks and was part of the nation’s squad that won the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.
Across the water in America, a Mississippi mother has been overcome with grief after her son, Rasheem Ryelle Carter, went missing in Taylorsville. A month later, Smith County Sheriff Joel Houston contacted the woman and asked if she could identify a figure captured on a hunter’s video on Nov. 1. The video was reportedly recorded in a wooded area south of Taylorsville. Sadly, she confirmed that the man in the footage looked like her now-deceased son.
