Sixteen-year-old Christie Howard was reported missing
from her home in Riverdale, Georgia, and the local police are asking for the public’s help. Howard was last seen on Jan. 8 around 11 a.m. near her home in the Atlanta suburb.According to the Clayton County Police Department, Howard was reported missing on Jan. 9 when she failed to return home after her mother received a strange text message from her daughter’s phone.
A message sent from the teenager’s cell indicated that she was with a relative and safe. However, the message did not reveal which family member Howard was supposedly with.
“Christie contacted her mother, via text message, advised her that she was safe & she was with a family member… She refused to inform her mother which family member she was with.”
“On January 9, 2022, Clayton County Police Officers responded to the 800 block of Cormac Drive, Riverdale Ga 30274 In reference to a missing person call. Officers learned, Christie Howard was last seen on January 08, 2022, at approximately 11:00 A.M., before she left her residence. Christie contacted her mother, via text message, advised her that she was safe & she was with a family member. She refused to inform her mother which family member she was with.”
“Christie Howard is described as a sixteen-year-old black female, with brown eyes, long black straight hair, 5’03” in height, and 100 lbs. Christie was last seen wearing a blue Nike hoodie with white letters on the front, light blue jeans pants, and a black backpack with ‘Lady Raiders Volleyball’ on it. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Ms. Christie Howard is being asked to contact the Clayton County Police Department at (770) 477-3747.”
Howard was last seen after leaving her home in Riverdale. She was wearing a blue hoodie with Nike in white letters on the front and a pair of light-wash jeans. She was also carrying Lady Raiders volleyball backpack when she disappeared.
Christie is 5 foot 3 inches tall and weighs around 100 pounds. She also has long black braided hair and brown eyes. Police are asking anyone with pertinent information about Howard to contact the Clayton County Police Department at (770) 477-3747.
