Law enforcement officers seem to take pride in the basest aspects of life. This week, Florida Sheriff Grady Judd put on a huge gold chain that his officers acquired from a drug bust in a weird display of ego.
Complex reported that Polk County officers arrested 29 people after a 16-month investigation of a drug trafficking enterprise. Officers from the narcotics division of the department also issued three warrants on trafficking, sale, possession of illegal drugs.
To show how proud he was of his officers’ good work, the sheriff placed an unbelievable big gold chain around his neck at a press conference about the takedown.
While he was standing there looking like an off-brand Kind Joffrey Joffer, he made sure to mention that some of the individuals who were arrested were rappers who, “marketed themselves because they look cool in the community.”
If that was not bad enough, this sheriff performed his own rhyme about the loot that they had collected during the drug bust.
“We got ya gold, we put ya tail in the county jail.’ You can call it the ‘Bell Gang Blues’ rap song,” he said.
Besides being inherently racist, that is a weird flex for a sheriff.
The sheriff also held up a seized gun, a bag of money and a bag of marijuana and gave an odd speech about how people in the media say that marijuana is a low-level non-violent offense while “people are dying because of that,” as he tilted his head towards the bag of marijuana.
Possibly the best part of this is that Sheriff Grady Judd had pride in a job not completely done. According to Fox 13, there are
still three suspects at large. In all, the police seized $88,000 in cash, $89,000 worth of jewelry, and $283,000 worth of narcotics in the bust, according to the sheriff.
There is no word yet on when the sheriff will release his first LP.
