In an April 13 episode of Shaquille O’Neal’s podcast, the former NBA star sat down with Michelle Turner and Spice Adams to discuss a viral clip of Nick Cannon joking about having his 13th child with Taylor Swift. The clip sparked a conversation about Shaq’s kids and how many he could have.
After watching the Cannon clip, Adams referenced an infamous joke by Charles Barkley a while ago. During a different show’s segment, Shaq had joked that his son would be watching his games from the sky box, and then Barkley retorted that he would need an entire stadium section for all his children to watch the game because he had 17 of them.
In Shaq’s podcast episode, Turner upped the number by saying that Shaq could be more like Cannon than he thinks and that he could have 25 kids that he doesn’t know about. Shaq gave a three-word shutdown response to the teasing speculation. He said to his guests, “You never know.”
Turner and Adams brought the conversation back to Cannon’s viral comment and asked Shaq his opinion on it. The former NBA star refused to comment on the situation.
“I’m not doing this. I’m not talking about Taylor Swift.”
Shaq, 51, has six known children. He shared four kids with his ex-wife Shaunie Henderson, one with his ex-girlfriend Arnetta Yardbourgh, and another stepson from Henderson’s prior relationship. Shaq’s children are
Taahirah, Myles, Shareef, Shaqir, Amirah, and Me’arah; according to PEOPLE, all are successful in their own right.
