L’Jarius Sneed, a cornerback for the Kansas City Chiefs, tragically lost his brother last Friday, Dec. 10, after he was attacked by a woman, the Associated Press reported. Known by his nickname TJ, T’Qarontarion Harrison was reportedly stabbed in the back in Minden, Louisiana, and died due to his wound.
According to the Associated Press, Steve Cropper, a local police chief, stated that he “died from a single stab wound to his back that punctured his lung.” Following the incident, the 32-year-old attempted to drive to a nearby hospital but reportedly ended up crashing the car. Soon after, Harrison underwent emergency surgery but was later pronounced dead.

A 47-year-old woman named Angela Washington is now facing a second-degree homicide charge, the Associated Press reported.
Sneed, born in the same Louisiana town where his older brother was fatally stabbed, reportedly took time over the weekend to be near his family. According to the Kansas City Star, the NFL star is also taking a step back from the sport as his teammates continue to offer their support.

Patrick Mahomes, the acclaimed quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, reportedly commented on Sneed’s tragic loss, “Such a tragic situation for him. And as a brotherhood and as an organization and a team, we’re going to support our brothers,” adding, “I’m just praying for him and his family. It’s a tough deal. We want him to be in a good spot as a person before anything on the football field.”
This past Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the Las Vegas Raiders. According to the Kansas City Star, Tyrann Mathieu reportedly told his teammates to “play this game for L’Jarius,” and the players delivered, winning the game with a 39-point lead.
