A new video has emerged of Black woman killed during a Mexico trip, Shanquella Robinson, excitedly anticipating the excursion with friends before her untimely death.
According to Radar Online, the newly surfaced footage shows Shanquella appearing to be in good spirits just moments before she was brutally attacked. In the video she allegedly recorded, she sounded very happy and excited about her next activity with the group of so-called friends. It was taken at Cabovillas.com’s Villa Linda 32, where she and “friends” were staying for their excursion.
“It don’t take that long to get naked. Where y’all at?” she cheerfully asked while giggling and walking through the hotel hallway.
The then-25-year-old Black woman later found the group, including the savage attackers, hanging in a room where they discussed which swimsuits to wear. Moments later, she was tragically beaten to death in an alleged surprise assault.
As News Onyx reported, Shanquella initially visited Mexico with six supposed friends for a birthday celebration. Less than 24 hours after they arrived, a viral video–recorded by an individual in the group–revealed a naked Shanquella being brutally beaten by another woman in the villa. Her “friends” reportedly condoned the fight.
“Get up! I’m tired of your sh*t!” the vicious attacker was allegedly seen shouting at her on video.
A death certificate listed the young woman’s cause of death as a severe spinal cord injury. However, Mexican authorities have insisted that there’s no “real” evidence suggesting she was murdered, nor have they issued any arrest warrants. Nonetheless, the Latin American country’s officials and the FBI are investigating her death as a homicide.
Shanquella’s father, Bernard Robinson, recently told TMZ he believed she was set up.
“It just seems like that was a plot because they couldn’t have done that here where all her friends are. It wouldn’t have went down like that,” he tearfully said.
The young woman’s sister, Quilla Long, has since
launched a GoFundMe page on Nov. 17 as the family needed funds to cover funeral expenses and legal fees. NBA star Kyrie Irving even made a thoughtful $65,000 donation to her family.Shanquella’s funeral was held at Macedonia Baptist Church on Nov. 19.
