On March 1st, Netflix will premiere a special documentary on the late rap icon, Christopher “The Notorious BIG” Wallace, entitled, “I Got A Story to Tell.” The series was named after his Biggie’s song, “I Got a Story to Tell,” from the Life After Death album. The streaming service showed a clip of the forthcoming trailer yesterday evening, highlighting the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer’s life. Biggie went from selling drugs on the corner to being one of the most prominent rap music figures.
The documentary will include commentary and videos from Biggie’s nearest and dearest: his mother, Voletta Wallace, Grammy award-winning-singer, Faith Evans, music mogul, Sean “Diddy,” Combs, Lil’ Cease of Junior Mafia, and many more. President of RCA Records, Mark Pitts, Diddy, and Wallace are the executive producers behind the documentary.
Since Biggie’s death in March 1997, several media showcase his rhyming skills, impact on the hip-hop culture, musical delivery, and his legacy in Brooklyn. Biggie’s children, T’yanna and CJ Wallace also endeavored in projects associated with their father, including the clothing line, “Notoriouss,” a brand of cannabis called Frank White, Biggie’s alter ego, and a cannabis company, Think BIG.
