Indiana Fever’s NaLyssa Smith and Kelsey Mitchell made history on Sunday during their game against the Dallas Wings at College Park Center, scoring 30 points in one game.
According to the Indiana Fever’s website, Michell and Smith scored 30 points and obtained five rebounds. The two also became the 11th pair of teammates to score at least 30 points in one game in WNBA history.
During Sunday’s game, Mitchell successfully fired seven three-pointers on 11 attempts. And his has been an excellent season for the 27-year-old guard. Mitchell managed to score 678 points and 228 field goals in the season’s 37 games, leading her to eclipse Tamika Catchings’ 2003 record.
Mitchel not only set a record for her points, but also for her field goals made in the regular season as a Fever player.
Smith executed flawless rebounding skills in the game and assisted the team when the Wings dominated by netting seven points during the second quarter and 11 points during the third quarter.
Fever ultimately beat the Wings 97-84 in overtime. Now, the team will return
