A woman and her son went viral after posting a video on TikTok advising viewers that her son had been arrested for hacking the school’s system for months to shut down classes.
The mom, whose first name is Victoria, revealed that she was alerted by the school back in April that she needed to come and pick him up.
Once she arrived, the surprised mom found that the actions of her 11-year-old son, Elijah, had prompted the school’s principal, superintendent, three IT techs, four police officers and the district attorney’s office to meet her at the school.
Victoria said that her son was shaking and visibly upset when she saw him and immediately wondered what he could have done to warrant such a reaction from authorities.
“What possibly could my 11-year-old child who is in 5th grade have done that has warranted all of this police activity?” she said. “He has been controlling the internet at the school for the past 3 months.”
The prodigy’s mom joked on TikTok that she had a criminal for a son and perhaps she had given birth to Rainman.

The school wanted to press federal charges against the 11-year-old. However, the district attorney’s office declined to prosecute the child. The genius’ mom had to hire a federal attorney for the youngster.
TikTok users were somewhat impressed by the young hacker.
“Can he hack sally mae???!!!,” asked one commenter. Another TikTok users thought they should be looking at getting Elijah into the gifted program.
“Federal charges against an 11-year-old is a bit much. They should’ve been talking about how to get him into a gifted program.”
Instead of federal charges, the young lad was given 10 hours of community service and instructed to write an apology letter to his mom. Elijah was also required to build a virtual basketball computer program, which took the lad two hours to complete.
