Michael Lee Wilkerson was arrested and charged with the death of his fiancee Brittany Michelle Davis. Authorities believe he murdered the woman soon after she was reported missing in March 2020.
Earlier this year, the Greenville, South Carolina police posted an Instagram photo of Davis. They explained that she had been reported missing in March 2020 and was last seen in mid-February at a local restaurant.

The authorities learned that Davis and Wilkerson had been living together when she disappeared. They found evidence that suggested that she was the victim of foul play, reported WYFF.
In April 2021, human remains were found in northeast Georgia, and DNA testing confirmed that they belonged to Davis. Officials believe that she was murdered close to the day of her disappearance in February 2020.
The police stated that they have probably caused to arrest and charge Wilkerson in her death.
After Davis went missing, her family, not Wilkerson, reported her missing a little over a month later.
In July 2020, Davis’ mother spoke to Fox Carolina about the stress of her daughter seemingly disappearing into thin air.
“I just miss my child,” Melanie Holliman said tearfully. “To say that this is a nightmare is an understatement,” said Melanie Holliman. Instead of celebrating Mother’s Day with all of her children, she spent it standing at her front door awaiting news about her daughter’s whereabouts.
Police used social media for months to try to garner leads as to where Davis may have gone.
There is still no official ruling on the victim’s cause of death.
On Tuesday, Wilkerson was arrested after a traffic stop in Buford, Georgia and held in Gwinnett County Jail until he is extradited to Greenville. He has no bond, and officials do not know if he has an attorney to speak on his behalf.
