President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris awarded HBCU grad and the CreditRich founder and CEO Angel Rich-Jones, 36, the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award on Juneteenth.
The Hampton University graduate is the youngest recipient of the award.
The recognition highlighted her work integrity and diligence in helping her community through her best-selling novel “History of the Black Dollar” and Al-Fintech app Credit Rich.
The award ceremony occurred at Reverend Dr. George Homes’ Matthew Memorial Baptist Church in Washington, DC.
“Angel has a profound amount of knowledge about building wealth and entrepreneurship that the country can benefit from,” Dr. Holmes

“Dear President @joebiden and Madam VP @kamalaharris, thank you for your diligent leadership of this country,” she wrote in her Instagram post’s caption. “It is an honor to be one of the youngest to ever receive a Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award.”
She continued, “Finance and emerging technology are critical underpinnings that hold the fabric of our superpower together. As a proud HBCU grad, being recognized for the support of that weaving will be one of my greatest achievements for the rest of my life and offers fuel for other young rocket ships in my community to skyrocket.”
Through her CreditRich app, she helps users improve their financial habits and prioritize paying off their debt by rounding their chump change toward their bills. The goal is to take every action to optimize their credit scores.
Actress Naturi Naughton and her husband, Two Lewis, are officers of CreditRich.
Dubbed the “next Steve Jobs” by Forbes, Angel is adamant about combating poverty and is dedicated to educating those on financial literacy via her WealthyLife Foundation, which The Obama White House, Department of Education and JP Morgan Chase dubbed the country’s best financial literacy company.
She also founded Black Tech Matters, an organization steadfast in diversifying STEM and pushing for more DEI initiatives with tech companies, government agencies, non-profits, financial services institutions and media companies.
Angel has helped President Barack Obama during his presidency to devise a plan to bring the troops home through the first African American Financial Experience Study. The 36-year-old is also a graduate of the HillVets.
