Love Triangle Lands Two in Jail for Oklahoma Pastor’s Murder

The wife of an Oklahoma pastor confessed to asking her lover to shoot her husband – a man the couple also met up with for threesomes, NBC News reported.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) reported that Kristie Dawnell Evans, 47, and Khalil Square, 26, were suspected

of Pastor David Evans’ murder following an analysis of evidence and interviews. Initially, Kristie Evans called police after midnight on March 22 alerting them to intruders in her home. Upon arrival, they found David Evans, 50, dead.

Both the wife and Square were arrested later in the week after Evans’ March 25 confession.

Captain Beth Green of the OSBI told KFOR, “A couple of months ago is when the three of them first met up. The three of them, Kristie, Kahlil and David, had a sexual relationship. Kristie and Kahlil also had a separate sexual relationship, just the two of them,” Green said.

This is supported by court documents that state the Evans “first met Kahlil months ago at a Super 8 Motel,” and had sexual relations there “more than” once.

Evans went to the police on her own accord and confessed to giving Square her husband’s gun and bullets to shoot him. According to an affidavit obtained by The Daily Beast, Evans told authorities that her husband was “verbally abusive and controlling,” and that “he called her names like ‘slut, fat, ugly, and whore.'”

The evidence that most likely sealed their fate was footage from a neighbor’s surveillance camera which showed Square’s white Ford Mustang in front of the Evans’ house for several days before the shooting while Pastor Evans was away on a missionary trip and then again on the morning of March 22 when he was killed. Kristie Evans said in the affidavit that it was during Pastor Evans’ trip that she and Square planned his murder.

Both Evans and Square are facing first-degree murder charges. There is no indication at this time that Square has spoken with the police about his involvement in the matter.
