Oklahoma resident Lorraine Graves was arrested after she commented on the Tulsa Police Department’s Facebook post asking for leads to her whereabouts.
Tulsa Police featured Graves in their weekly “Most Wanted” post on July 14 because she was wanted for accessory to murder charges, reported KFOR. Most people lay low when they have a warrant, but Graves blew up her own spot when she commented on the post.
“What’s where’s the reward money at,” Graves wrote.
Two days later, Tulsa Police posted an update announcing she was in custody. The message listed her arrest date as July 15, a day after the original Facebook post was published. The police included a screenshot of her comment and a picture of a smirking Graves in handcuffs.
Her charges were related to the death of 30-year-old Eric Graves, a family member. According to The Tulsa World, he died in March following a shootout at a Tulsa apartment complex with Gabriel Hopson, 20, and Jayden Hopson, 1d. Eyewitness Wendell Alexander told authorities the conflict started because Jayden Hopson was jealous a woman he was interested in “liked” Eric Graves.
Court documents claim the duo pulled weapons on Graves and he responded with gunfire. They fired back, mortally wounding him. Alexander was also injured in the shootout. Lorraine Graves “facilitated the discarding of the potential murder weapon” when she gave Gabriel a ride to another complex. When they arrived at their destination, Gabriel passed the gun to someone else.
Gabriel was charged with first-degree murder and possession of a firearm after former conviction of a felony. Jayden was also charged with murder and received an additional charge for possession of a firearm after juvenile adjudication. They are scheduled to appear in court on July 27.
Lorraine Graves is being held at the Tulsa County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
