Phenix Salon Suites Franchising LLC was founded in 2007 by female entrepreneur and beauty specialist Gina Rivera. Since then, the franchise has expanded throughout the east coast and recently, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, also saw a 344% increase in “lifestyle professionals searching for a new workspace,” according to a press release. Last week, Phenix Salon Suites announced a partnership with hip-hop mogul LL Cool J to help expand their salons throughout the Los Angeles area and operate several of their locations.
“I have known Gina Rivera, Founder of Phenix Salon Suites, for several years now. I love the fact that Gina is not only the founder but also an active stylist with over 42,000 hours behind a chair servicing clients,” LL Cool J

LL Cool J will be working with Kevin Davis, a big franchisee with Phenix Salon Suites, to help own and operate several locations on the east and west coast. Based in Los Angeles, Phenix Salon Suites allows hairstylists to rent space inside of their salons by offering individual licenses and began making a move to franchise in 2012.
With plans to soon go international, the brand currently has over 300 locations in the country, including in Manhattan, Queens and Los Angeles.
Discussing her excitement surrounding the LL Cool J partnership, Rivera wrote on Instagram, “I am so proud to announce this exciting news for my company Phenix Salon Suites! LL COOL J is partnering with our largest franchisee, Kevin Davis, to own and operate Phenix locations throughout the East Coast and Los Angeles Market!”
