According to PageSix, Dallas’ newest resident Shaquille O’Neal is passing on his generosity in his new hometown.
On July 6, The NBA Hall of Famer was recently recorded in a Dallas Best Buy talking to a young couple in the home appliances section. Somehow, the video concluded with Shaquillde purchasing the washing machine they were eyeing. And, in pure Shaq fashion, he threw in a 70-inch television for the couple just because he could.
When approached for comment by PageSix, Shaquille explained his actions in a few short words. He said, “I just want to make people happy.”
This isn’t the first time that he’s dropped coins for expensive purchases on total strangers. NewsOnyx reported that the retired baller bought a Texas family a 15-passenger Mercedes Benz van, and he donated $50,000 from deejay gig to Buffalo shooting victim Aaron Salter’s family.
Twitter can’t get enough of Shaq’s random acts of kindness.
One supporter wrote, “I just saw a video of Shaq buying a homeless man some food at McDonald’s. Some might say that he can easily do that, and it’s true, but he is always doing things for people. He talks a lot of trash when it comes to sports but don’t let that fool you, he is an elite human!”
Another
added, “Just fill my feed with videos of Shaq buying things for people…I don’t care that it’s filmed…he doesn’t strike me as doing this for the press…class act. #Shaq.”The Shaq hashtag is flooded with videos of Shaq doing nice things for people following his retirement from playing basketball.
