Katt Williams ended his Nashville, Tennessee show early on Saturday night due to a bomb threat.
Williams was reportedly escorted out of the venue by security at the Municipal Auditorium.
According to CNN, the bomb threat was received via telephone at 10:36 p.m., a Nashville police spokesperson said. He said the call was believed to have come from out of state and police scoured the entire building finding nothing.
In a statement, the Nashville Municipal Auditorium addressed the incident.
“On the evening of March 12, comedian Katt Williams had to abruptly end his show at the Municipal Auditorium in Nashville 10 minutes before the end of his set due to a bomb threat. Williams made the decision not to notify attendees of the bomb scare to avoid panic and possible injury,” the statement read. “The building was successfully cleared by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department without incident.”
