Although it will be a challenge, Vice President Kamala Harris affirmed she and President Joe Biden will win the 2024 election in her Oct. 29 interview on 60 Minutes.
Following the interview, Harris posted a clip of her declaration to her Instagram, reiterating it in the caption.
“Bill, we’re going to win. Let me just tell you that we’re going to win,” Harris told host Bill Whitaker. “And I’m not saying it’s going to be easy, but we will win.”
She continued after Whitaker noted she said it with “such conviction. “I have no doubt, but I also have no doubt it’s going to be a lot of work. And everyone’s going to have to participate. This is a democracy.”
Unfortunately, people flooded Harris’ comments with doubt, claiming they had a better chance at winning the election before the Israel-Hamas war. But since the U.S. responded by affirming their loyalty to Israel, many claim they’re drawing their support from the Biden administration.
“If you are not advocating for Congo and Palestine, I’m not voting for you.”
“I wish I believed you. But you tied your fate to those bombs raining down on innocent children.”
“We were rooting for you. We were all rooting for you.”
“I will not vote for you again. Free Palestine. PS I’d rather vote third party or not at all. And I have voted in every single presidential election since I was 18. NO MORE. I cannot unsee the lies.”
During the interview, Kamala clarified that the administration decided against involving U.S. troops in the Israel-Hamas war. She also elucidated that they showed support for the Palestinian people and Israel and condemned Hamas’ actions.
“It is very important that there be no conflation between Hamas and the Palestinians. The Palestinians deserve equal measures of safety and security, self-determination and dignity, and we have been very clear that the rules of war must be adhered to and that there be humanitarian aid that flows.”
