A Houston woman reportedly shot her ex-boyfriend for bringing his girlfriend to drop off their child.
According to a news release, 27-year-old Keshante Shamirra Harris and Aaron Williams, 29, had a previous relationship and have two children. Williams met Harris at her grandmother’s house to drop off one of their children from a weekend visit, and the father brought his current girlfriend with him.
Harris was upset with Wiliams for bringing the girlfriend at the time of the exchange, shooting the 29-year-old several times. A report confirmed he was struck in the arm and leg.
Williams received medical attention from the Houston Fire Department and was transported to a local hospital to treat non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The girlfriend nor the child was injured during the shooting.
After returning to the scene, Harris was arrested and charged for her role in the incident.
She has been charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and deadly conduct – discharging a firearm.

According to Texas law, aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon is a first-degree felony. If convicted, a person charged with the crime can face five to 99 years in prison.
While this isn’t the first shooting involving an ex-spouse in the city, a man was fatally shot by his ex’s new boyfriend in a restaurant parking lot on Sunday.
According to Fox 26 Houston, the woman’s new boyfriend reportedly shot the man at a Denny’s in southeast Houston.
Police said the shooting occurred at around 1:30 a.m. when the man and the woman, who presumably were exes, met at the chain restaurant following an argument.
While the nature of the argument was unclear, the restaurant’s surveillance footage captured the ex-boyfriend yelling. The new boyfriend showed up at some point as the back-and-forth arguing continued. The police report stated that the new boyfriend shot the man one time and killed him.
The unidentified shooter was arrested following the shooting.
