A clip from 2019, posted on Nov. 24, captured Herschel Walker saying his son, 23-year-old Christian Walker, was ugly at birth and called him “dumb as a brick” streetwise.
Speaking to soldiers, Herschel Walker described his “dumb as a brick”-streetwise son, Christian, as an “ugly” baby with a “long head” that “looked like an alien” from the “x-files,” and blamed his wife’s “awful genes.”

In the video, Herschel recounted the day Christian was born and explained how in awe he was about his son’s looks, comparing newborn Christian to an alien from X-Files. At the time, Herschel was married to Cindy DeAngelis Grossman.
“I have a 19-year-old smart kid…bookwise he’s extremely smart, streetwise he’s as dumb as a brick,” he said, speaking to soldiers. “What’s funny about him is…when I delivered him, he had this long old head. No, seriously. He looked like an alien. I told my wife, ‘Have your parents got some awful genes and stuff?’”
After telling himself that baby Christian wasn’t too bad looking, he wheeled his newborn son to the nursery, where he encountered a “beautiful little girl” in the nursery next to Christian.
“Normally, the kids are ugly when they’re born at first, but this little girl was pretty,” he said. “I’m looking at Christian and looking at her, and I go, ‘Wow, I’m going to slide her over a little and stuff because everybody got to come to that window and go, ‘Wow, that’s a beautiful little girl.’ And they’re going to look at Christian Walker and go, ‘Woah, X-Files like he’s an alien.”
Herschel Walker went on to say he “polished” and “rounded” his son’s head “everyday” and then his son “looked like [his] side of the family.”

In another clip, the GOP US Senate candidate said his mom introduced him to “polishing” the head to make it more round.
“I was rounding his every day…his head got round and looked like my side of the family, but it also made him smart. The little dude is smart, like he speaks four languages…Chinese, French, Spanish and English, and he writes it. He’s a junior in college, supposed to be a freshman.”
But that’s not the first time the former NFL player said something outlandish. Several years ago, Herschel appeared on The Dan Patrick show and called himself “blessed” for not dying during the times when he’d play Russian Roulette.
“I talk about the Russian roulette, and people say I’m trying to kill myself, and I say no because that’s against what I believe in,” Walker said to Patrick. “What it was, was if you came to my house and said you wanted to challenge me to something… you’re tough enough to pull this trigger here. Put a bullet in [the gun] and spin it.”
He continued, “People would say I’m crazy. I would take [the gun] and put it to my head and snap it. And I don’t know whether I’m just blessed…but I am. I’ve been blessed all my life.”
On Dec. 6, Herschel will face off against Democrat Sen. Raphael Warnock in the Georgia runoff.
