Gwinnett County police are searching for a Georgia man implicated in the murder-for-hire death of his ex-girlfriend and business partner, Courtney Owens.
Stoney Williams, 41, allegedly solicited Wesley Vickers, 23, to kill Owens after the couple broke up. The pair owned the Royal Court Motors dealership in Snellville, Georgia. 11 Alive News reported that on December 9, Wesley, wearing a ski mask, allegedly went to the car dealership where Courtney was working and approached her, forced her to her knees, shooting her at point-blank range with a rifle. After firing the weapon, the 23-year-old Lilburg resident walked out. Eyewitnesses on the scene told Gwinnett County police officers that the shooting occurred inside one of the offices.
Authorities arrived at Royal Court Motors and spoke with Stoney while collecting evidence from the ghastly scene. Police surmised that the business owner was allegedly involved in Courtney’s murder. The alleged motive behind the woman’s death– Stoney reportedly wanted the dealership for himself.
Now, the suspect is at large after Wesley was detained earlier this month. Stoney also has a plethora of aliases, including Lamar Williams– which has an Instagram page attached to him and Royal Court Motors. In various videos and photos, the 41-year-old murder suspect is showing off his lavish lifestyle. There were no photos of Courtney on his page. His last post was on December 3– six days before the 34-year-old mother of one was gunned down.

The estranged boyfriend audaciously created a Facebook tribute account for Courtney. The last post, January 4, had various pictures of the victim living her best life.
The deceased boss babe’s funeral was held on December 18 at The Chapel of Donald Trimble Mortuary in Snellville. Her obituary listed her son and mother– Zaaytobine and Andrea Owens, as her living relatives. Stoney was also listed in the obituary. Ironically, he didn’t attend her funeral.
Her mother launched a GoFundMe on January 14. Andrea asked for $15,000, assumably to help care for her grandson. So far, she’s raised only $863.
“I am the grieving mother of Courtney Owens. She was a victim of a brutal murder in Snellville, Georgia. It was broadcast on local T.V. I am collecting money to cover expenses and debts that exists. She has a young child she leaves behind. Your gracious donation will be greatly appreciated. May God Bless you.”
According to the Gwinnett Police Department’s Facebook page, the wanted man faces charges of malice murder, felony murder and aggravated assault. Authorities are asking people with information regarding Stoney’s whereabouts to call them at 770-513-5300 or to remain anonymous– call CrimeStoppers at 404-577-TIPS.
