Delonte West is in a heap of legal trouble after getting arrested again.
On Oct. 15, around 5:53 p.m., the Fairfax County Police Department in Virginia responded to a call about the former NBA player trespassing in a vehicle near a parking lot. West’s belligerence while resisting arrest, his decision to run from the cops, and his intoxication led to him being taken into custody and slapped with four criminal charges.
West was charged with vehicle trespassing, entering an automobile, fleeing from police officers and public intoxication. The next day (Oct. 16), West was released from custody.
The former Dallas Mavericks baller has a history of run-ins with law enforcement. In October 2021, Boynton Beach police arrested West after he got into a physical dispute while inebriated. Authorities charged him with obstruction without violence, open container and disorderly intoxication after the arrest. At the start of 2020, TMZ reported that West was involved in a street brawl involving a glass bottle.
As News Onyx has previously reported, there were a handful of moments where West attempted to get his life together. Mavericks owner Mark Cuban took the former NBA player, who struggled with bipolar disorder, from the streets to rehab. Hen then started working for the Rebound rehabilitation center, the same rehab spot he went to for help. In 2021, West was seen working his new flooring job after a viral Twitter video showed him panhandling in the streets.

In February, West was spotted at the Pat The Rock Basketball Academy in Maryland training in hopes of making it into Ice Cube’s BIG3 League. Unfortunately, West didn’t make the cut. Amid training for the BIG3 League at the academy, Wet was spending time with some of the kids at the academy and handing them basketball pointers.
