Former Chicago Bulls Player Ben Gordon Arrested In NYC Airport For Allegedly Punching 10-Year-Old Son In The Face

Former Chicago Bulls and 2004 Round One draft pick Ben Gordon, 39, was arrested in Queens, New York, on Monday after allegedly assaulting his 10-year-old son at LaGuardia Airport.

According to The New York Post, Gordon punched the little boy in the face as they

waited to board an evening flight to Chicago. The former basketball player reportedly has an order of protection against him concerning his son.

He was charged with resisting arrest

after locking his arms as they tried to detain him and assault after Port Authority police arrived to investigate claims from witnesses of Gordon with a “closed fist, striking [the] victim in the face.”

Gordon’s son’s aunt took him

to Long Island Jewish Children’s Hospital for minor injuries.

The former basketball player was in the NBA from 2005 to 2016, playing 12 seasons with the Detroit Pistons, Charlotte Hornets, Orlando Magic and the Bulls.

The 6’3 guard also has a younger son, Lux, with model Ashley Banks. She appears to support her former lover. She posted a myriad of photos of Gordon as a doting dad to their 3-year-old toddler to her IG Stories. In a final picture, Banks seemingly defended her former lover, saying although they were no longer a couple, she was “loyal af.”

He will be arraigned at Queens County Criminal Court.
