Florida Woman Amber Jackson recently said an Airbnb host in Tulum, Mexico, planned to sex traffic her and her nine friends.
According to Wild 94.1, Jackson alleged that during her stay at the rented property, she and her friends spotted an unidentified man standing outside of the vacation home, claiming to be security one night. They had already been there for three days and never saw security standing there any other night, she told the radio station.
Jackson reached out to the concierge team to no avail, so she and her friends slept with knives by their sides to ensure they were safe before checking out the next day. Oddly, they had done so after the Florida woman resorted to reconfiguring the keypads as they were initially unable to lock the bedroom doors since, she said, keypads were not set for each room. The inability to lock the room doors would enable anyone to access them.

Before the strange occurrence, Jackson said she spotted blood stains on the front gate when she checked into the Airbnb, which prompted her to ask the concierge team about it. However, their response was that what she perceived to be blood was simply red paint.
Her overall vacation experience led her to believe that the Tulum Airbnb host had plotted to sex traffic her and her friends. She told 94.1 that during her stay she was afraid to contact police about what was happening.
“I was scared to even contact police over there [in Tulum],” she said. “The police actually rolled by while the ‘security guard’ was outside.”
She added that the concierge involved did not want to give her a refund at first. However, after she contacted Airbnb, the homeowner finally got back to her–the problem was, they only offered her $67 when her stay totaled $3,671.65.
“Airbnb needs to be outed for this because they’re not posting the bad reviews [of the property],” Jackson said about the rented property, which she said didn’t have any bad reviews when she first looked it up. When she shared her story online, many other women voiced their similar experiences and as a result of bad reviews pouring in, the homeowner changed their name and profile photo on Airbnb’s website.
