Florida TikTok Influencer Damaury Mikula Arrested After High Speed Chase, Tells Cops He ‘Can Do What He Wants’

Florida TikTok star Damaury Mikula was arrested by Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) after a high-speed chase on October 29 and told police “he can do whatever he wants.”

According to Fox 13, FHP reported that the 18-year-old was doing a “burnout” and smoking the tires of his Dodge Challenger right next to a patrol car stationed at the intersection of State Road 54 at Sunlake Blvd. in Pasco County. He then proceeded to run a red light and speed away, starting the high-speed chase.

According to FHP, Mikula didn’t bother to slow down or pull over after the trooper had activated his lights and siren. Instead, he continued speeding, reaching speeds of more than 100 miles per hour as he drove into a residential area off Ballantrae Blvd. near State Road 54.

The trooper then caught up to Mikula as the car pulled into his house. Mikula answered the door and was arrested after he revealed to troopers that the Dodge Challenger was parked in the garage and allowed them to access it to be towed.

While inside the trooper’s car, he was read his Miranda rights, and Mikula told the officers that he was the only person in the car and was aware that they were attempting to stop him while he sped away but thought he could get away with it if he were fast enough.

Trooper W. Kelly told WFLA that Mikula said: “that he is young, makes a lot of money, and has a fast car, and he can do whatever he wants.”

Troopers said that Mikula later said what he did resulted from a foolish mindset and that it isn’t a good lifestyle. Mikula also said that he felt like doing something fun for three seconds, and it was not worth it.

Mikula was taken into the Pasco County Jail without incident.
