Florida authorities have identified those responsible for the burglary that occurred at an $8 million mansion and for curating an unauthorized house party on Friday in which over 200 teens were in attendance, according to Fox News.
“We tracked down the key players in our investigation and will be interviewing them today,” Walton County Sheriff’s Office Spokeswoman Corey Dobridnia said to Fox News Digital.
“We’re narrowing down to today who were the ringleaders and who could be facing charges,” Dobridnia added.
Through the help of Florida parents, school officials and neighboring police departments, authorities were led in the right direction to catch those who initiated the break-in.
The mansion is located in Santa Rosa Beach. The owners weren’t in town when the illegal house party happened. The teens helped themselves to wine and liquor that cost thousands of dollars, including a $1,500 bottle of champagne. They even held amateur boxing matches in the extravagant living room.
Advertisement for the party circled around social media five days before the break-in. On the day of the party, locks on the glass doors that led to the backyard were broken off, enabling the intruders to open the front door and allow the partygoers in.
Expensive belongs of the house owners were taken like a $3,500 Yves Saint Laurent purse and Peyton Manning signed football. In one photo, a teen is flexing rings he discovered. Other teens went even further and started trying on the owner’s clothes.
According to Dobridnia, the house was armed with an alarm system and the WaterColor community contained a 24-hour security patrol.
“It doesn’t matter our security system,” the owner, who remains anonymous, said. “They came in my home illegally and uninvited.”
“It’s not the material things, it’s the memories,” the stay-at-home mom told Fox. “The amount of invasion of privacy was just – there was no regard for anything.”
“It was a complete violation,” she said.
The five-bedroom, eight-bathroom mansion is now up for sale, listed at $7,950,000.
