An article from MetropoliMx stated that Daejhanae Jackson, one of the suspects who accompanied Shanqueela Robinson to Mexico, was arrested in connection with Robinson’s murder.
Soon after, the news of the alleged arrest circulated with social media users and content creators started reporting the same information.
As reported by News Onyx, Mexico authorities issued an arrest warrant for a woman involved in the “femicide” but never specifically said who. MetropoliMx reported that Interpol agents allegedly arrested Jackson in the United States and placed her in federal custody, where she waited for her extradition process to begin in Mexico to be charged.
However, it’s a fact that Interpol does not have the power to make arrests. Interpol does not have its officers. The report also stated that Jackson is in the United State’s custody but that arrest information would be available to the public. When someone is booked in a detention facility in America, the data would be public. According to State Records, arrest records are public in most states. The only exception would be when the arrest records are a part of an ongoing investigation.
When asked about Jackson’s possible arrest by WCNC, Robinson’s father, Bernard Robinson, said that he was not made aware of any arrests regarding his daughter’s murder.
As previously reported, Robinson died on Oct. 29 inside the Cabos Villas complex in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, after being brutally beaten. Several attempts were made to revive Robinson, including 14 rounds of CPR and five doses of adrenaline along with six AED shocks, but they all failed. Robinson’s mother, Salamondra, was told by the “friends” of the 25-year-old businesswoman that she died from alcohol poisoning. After paying thousands of dollars to have their baby girl’s body transported back to America, the autopsy report revealed that she died from a broken neck and fractured spinal cord.
