Ex-Stripper Sentenced To Three Years In Prison For Involvement In ‘Welcome To Sweetie Pie’s’ Murder-For-Hire Case

A former exotic dancer has been sentenced to prison for her part in the 2016 murder-to-hire of the reality TV star from Welcome to Sweetie Pies.

On Tuesday, Terica Ellis, a former stripper, received her sentence, of three years, for participating in the murder of 21-year-old Andre Montgomery Jr., a co-star of the reality TV show.

According to Atlanta Black Star, in her June 2022 testimony, Ellis said

, “Tim Norman paid her $10,000 to help him find Andre Montgomery.”

The 39-year-old allegedly believed Norman was only wanting to find and confront his nephew about a burglary and was not aware that Norman hired someone to kill him.

“I’m so ashamed to be here in this place,” Ellis said.

Norman was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, murder-for-hire resulting in death as well as mail fraud and was found guilty in September 2022.

According to court documents, Norman took out life $450,000 worth of life insurance policies on his nephew and attempted to cash them after his death.

A 44-year-old man, Waiel Rebhi Yaghnam, was sentenced to three years in prison after admitting he conspired with Norman on the life insurance policy. The shooter, Travell Anthony Hill, was sentenced to 32 years. Norman is set to be sentenced on March 2.

As previously reported by Sis2Sis, after the verdict found  Norman guilty of all charges in the murder-for-hire trial, his mother, Robbie Montgomery, shut down her final restaurant franchise location in St. Louis, Missouri. She posted a sign on the door letting her customers know.

Welcome to Sweetie Pies was a popular, NAACP Award-winning reality TV series that aired on the Oprah Winfrey Network for five seasons from 2011 to 2017. The show followed the life of restaurateur and reality star Miss Robbie Montgomery, who ran a soul food restaurant in St. Louis, Missouri.
