The Detroit Police Department announced on Monday that the man who is allegedly a suspect in the kidnapping and murder case of a Detroit nurse had been taken into custody.
According to DPD, 29-year-old nurse Patrice Wilson finished her shift at the Detroit Medical Center and got into the driver’s side of her car on Saturday around 7:40 a.m. Wilson’s ex-boyfriend and murder suspect, Jamere Miller, 36, approached and got into the vehicle, forced her over and drove off with Wilson inside.
Police said Miller was wearing a blonde wig when he kidnapped Wilson. The car Wilson drove was a Black 2020 Lincoln Nautilus.
According to Fox News, police found the 29-year-old’s lifeless body inside her vehicle on Saturday at a Novi apartment.
Police issued a warrant for Miller’s arrest, ultimately catching and placing him in custody. Unfortunately, this still won’t bring back the daughter and mother Miller selfishly took.
“I still feel like I’m watching TV,” Pamela Golden, Wilson’s grandmother, told Fox. “I don’t feel like this is real. I’m very angry. She’s a good girl. She doesn’t do anything. She is not a girl in the street.”
Roslind Livingston, Wilson’s mother, hated that her daughter didn’t have a Mother’s Day with her son.
“It’s Mother’s Day, and she is not here to be with her son,” Livingston said, according to Click On Detroit. “her son cannot hold her and say ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ today. That bothers me.”
Police confirmed that Wilson and Miller were involved in a toxic relationship. Miller didn’t like that Wilson ended it.
A TikTok video showed Ring Doorbell footage from 2021 that displayed Miller attempting to break into Wilson’s house.

While Wilson’s investigation is ongoing, Miller may be tied to another investigation regarding a woman who went missing in 2011.
According to Fox, when the news of Miller being a suspect in Wilson’s case hit, the family of missing 24-year-old nursing student Bianca Green questioned if Miller had something to do with her disappearance.
“We all never gave up hope, and we tried to give Jamere the benefit of the doubt,” Bianca’s uncle, Keith Green, told the outlet.
Bianca and Miller dated once and had a son named Jamere Jr. But in 2011, Bianca disappeared, leaving her son.
“She would have never left Jamere Jr, that was her Velcro. She would have never left her son,” Keith said.
Police questioned Miller, but he wasn’t deemed a suspect.
DPD said that while they aren’t involved in the investigation of Bianca’s disappearance, they were more than willing to assist in bringing justice.
A GoFundMe was created in honor of Wilson.
