There are many things that women may want to set a Guinness World Record for doing. Having ten babies in one sitting is usually not on the list. However, Gosiame Thamara Sithole was apparently chosen to do just that. The Gauteng, South Africa mother gave

birth to decuplets, reported IOL.

Sithole, 37, gave birth to her ten new children in the 29th week of her pregnancy. Of course, the seven boys and three girls were delivered by Caesarean section because there is not enough lung capacity in the world to accommodate that much pushing.

In another shocking (and tiring ) twist, Sithole also has six-year-old twins. Reproductively, the probability of conceiving twins naturally is about 0.4 percent. This makes Sithole’s feat doubly noteworthy as she said she used no fertility treatments to conceive her decuplets.

The mother of twelve’s husband, Teboho Tsotetsi, briefly spoke to the media about his wife’s stunning delivery. “It’s seven boys and three girls. She was seven months and seven days pregnant. I am happy. I am emotional. I can’t talk much. Let’s talk again in the morning please,” Tsotetsi said. He had to run; probably because he heard the clock counting down to his last days of a full night’s sleep.

Last month, Gosiame Thamara Sithole told the press that when she found out that she would be delivering ten babies, she was shocked and hoped that she and her children would make it out alive.

“I am shocked by my pregnancy. It was tough at the beginning. I was sick. It was hard for me,” Sithole said.  I just pray for God to help me deliver all my children in a healthy condition, and for me and my children to come out alive. I would be pleased about it,” she continued. Studies show

that births for twins and triplets are risky. Decuplet births are even riskier.

Sithole broke the record set last month in Morocco with the delivery of nonuplets held by Malian Halima Cissé. Before that, it was America’s own “Octomom,” Nadya Suleman, in 2009.
