Darryl Cowan, Jr. Arrested After Giving Stripper Fake Money

Darryl Cowan, Jr. was arrested on June 19 after giving a stripper fake money at a strip club in Warren, Ohio.

He was confronted after he tried to give a fake $100 bill to a stripper, according to WKBN. Cowan also tried to pass a counterfeit $50 bill to the woman.

Cowan was at That 1 Place strip club when he gave a stripper two fake bills, a $100 bill and a $50 bill. The woman said that when she confronted him with another customer about the fake money, Cowan hit the other customer in the face. The woman then jumped on Cowan and maced him in the face before running off with her car keys.

Cowan, who was intoxicated, ran out the club’s back entrance and into a nearby house. A neighbor entered the house and found him in one of the rooms lying on a bed. The police were called to the strip club around 9:00 p.m. and were told Cowan ran into a nearby house where a neighbor found him in one of the bedrooms. Police searched Cowan, who told them he didn’t know where the car keys came from. Officers also found a bag of weed on the intruder. He was arrested and booked at the Trumbull County Jail for burglary.

Police noted that the fake bills had Chinese writing on them. The counterfeit bills were booked into evidence with the marijuana found on Cowan. He told the police that the homeowner of the home let him into the house. However, the homeowner told the police that she didn’t know Cowan had entered her home until several people from the club alerted her.

Counterfeit money has made appearances across the country in the last few weeks and months. Businesses in Fort Meyers, Fla., Louis, Ky., Lubbock, Texas and Waunakee, Wis., Kirksville, Mo. and Minneapolis, Minn. have all been hit with counterfeit money.
