NFL player Damar Hamlin posted a touching birthday celebration message on March 24 to Instagram. Hamlin turned 25 on Friday and reflected on the value of life following his incident where he suffered a cardiac arrest attack on the field of a Buffalo Bills game.
Hamlin’s post includes a series of inspirational messages and photos, one of which includes him with rapper Quavo and another shows him hugging DJ Khaled. The Bills safety wrote in the caption,
“Life is a precious gift. It’s a blessing to see another birthday. I can’t begin to explain the feelings… & even if I could, you probably still wouldn’t know the half… But ima enjoy this one a lil extra today!”“I know my purpose of why I’m here & I’m aligned, focused & only answering to my higher calling. Thank-You To All For Every B-Day Wish! ” He continued. The clips included inspirational messages like, “Every experience, good or bad, is an opportunity to learn and grow.”
As previously reported by News Onyx, Damar Hamlin, a safety for the Buffalo Bills, collapsed on the field during a match against the Cincinnati Bengals on January 2. He suffered from cardiac arrest after a full contact hit on the field and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition for treatment. He’s since recovered and been released and is planning on coming returning to play as soon as he can. His team and community supported him while he was bedridden.
