Dallas Police issued an arrest warrant for Buffalo Bills edge rusher Vonnie Miller for allegedly assaulting his pregnant girlfriend on Wednesday, Nov. 29, NBCDFW reported.
Police responded to a 911 call about a disturbance at the 3100 block of North Harwood Street.
“The preliminary investigation determined the suspect, 34-year-old Vonnie Miller, and the victim got into a verbal argument, and the suspect assaulted the victim.”
Miller fled before officers arrived at the scene, leading to them issuing the arrest warrant. The unnamed woman alleged in the warrant that she and Miller started arguing about traveling in their home around 10:50 a.m. on Wednesday. The woman told Miller she didn’t want to travel on her birthday and went into the office, slamming the door.
The 34-year-old NFL player got upset at her action and told her to leave.
As she attempted to grab her belongings, Miller started to “shove and push her, all while telling her to leave.”
She said the 34-year-old recorded the fight on his phone while pushing and shoving her toward the door as she tried to get her electronic devices like phone and laptop. Even after telling her she was pregnant, Miller didn’t stop, and he continued pushing her and stepping on her feet until she fell back into a chair.
Miller allegedly wrapped his hand around her neck for a few seconds before releasing her. While it caused pain, her breathing was intact.
As she allegedly tried to grab her belongings, Miller slammed her laptop on the ground and stomped on it. The six-week pregnant woman leaned down to pick it up, only to have a vast amount of her hair ripped from her skull, making her fall to the ground.
Miller’s girlfriend managed to record on one of her two phones and placed it in her pocket before he pushed her on the couch and had his hands around her neck. He quickly left when she told him she was calling the police.
She wasn’t transported to the hospital but was treated for the minor nicks on her left hand and the bruises on her neck, abdomen and left bicep.
The woman handed over the videos of the altercation to the police along with photos of their pregnancy test and text messages with Miller, where they discussed everything about the baby, from doctor’s appointments to the due date.
The Bills gave a statement about the incident.
“This morning, we were made aware of an incident involving Von Miller. We are in the process of gathering more information and will have no further comment at this point.”
