Atlanta-based chef Darius “Cooks” Williams dropped some mess on his Instagram on Tuesday.
In a recent Instagram post, Darius revealed that he tumbled upon a Facebook post with photos of a man he slept with last week on “baecation” with a woman.
Without going into detail, he warned in the caption, “Y’all be careful. It’s wild out there. I was casually scrolling, and the guy that was riding me the other week is now on a baecation!”
He added, “I need to write a book.”
He attached a screenshot of the Facebook post, redacting the woman’s face and account name. The post included one photo of a woman with a man with shades on standing behind her. The second photo showed the two kissing.
Darius also posted a screenshot of his alleged text messages with the supposedly taken man. According to the texts, they planned for the unknown man to meet Darius at his place around 1 a.m.
Darius became a controversial social media figure last year when the Better Business Bureau (BBB) issued him a consumer warning because customers of his Georgia-based business, DariusCooks, LLC., reported his business due to sketchy practices, News Onyx reported. Many customers complained of not receiving refunds when promised one. Others reported not getting what they paid for.
Additionally, Darius was known for posting his critics’ private information in retaliation. Darius has been dodgy about addressing his legal troubles.
So, his recent post where he victimizes himself in the “baecation” situation didn’t sit right with his followers.
“This page isn’t even about cooking anymore. It’s like just a Black dude on here complaining about everything (mainly not having a man). Unfollow.”
“But y’all not in a relationship, right? So, why put him on blast like this?”
“This is so messed up. It’s foul and malicious. You’re too blessed and favored to hit low like this. I’m all for disruptive marketing, but if this is a real scenario, it’s sad.”
Others claimed that Darius shouldn’t assume the man’s woman doesn’t know he’s probably bi-sexual.
“OR – she could already know that she is dating a bisexual man. Some women don’t mind….Could it be that you feel “played” since you only got rode and not [flown] out? Sis- calm down.”
“People assume she doesn’t know if he’s bisexual. Men sharing that up front and women accepting it seem to be the new norm from what I gathered. Usually, when you expose someone on social like this, especially with a platform, it’s due to hurt (not to give women a heads up). Sorry, Darius.”
Others commended Darius for looking out for the woman.
“As you should. These women need to know.”
“I don’t understand why we have people in the comments saying if he isn’t your man, why are you exposing him? If it was your mom, your sister, your aunt, your daughter, would you want her mental and physical health in jeopardy?”
Some commenters agreed with outing him, but privately with the woman.
