Conservative Politician Angela Stanton-King Condemns Drag Queen Bar For Allowing Kids

Conservative politician Angela Stanton-King uploaded a video to her Instagram page last month condemning Palace Bar in South Beach, Florida, for allowing children to interact with drag queens at a late-night event.

The owner of a drag bar, Thomas Donall, has since revealed that her video, which now has over 143,000 views, has led to hate-filled and homophobic comments on their social media. Donall also claimed that the young girls attending the event were simply having “innocent fun” in a family-friendly environment, according to Miami news outlet WPLG.

Stanton-King recorded the video while at the drag event, stating, “Now I’m sitting here trying to figure out why in the hell these people got these f**king little bitty a** kids at this f**king drag show, y’all.”

A conservative politician and Trump supporter, Stanton-King was a Republican candidate for Georgia’s 2020 U.S. House election but lost last November.

“It is 11:40 at night, these people have children in a f**king drag show,” Stanton-King then panned the camera around to show several young girls posing and strutting alongside a drag queen.

“Look at this s**t! And f**king throwing money at these little girls!”

Donall claims that Stanton-King’s video began sparking outrage online about young children interacting with drag queens, and then hate messages began to fill their social media pages. One commenter even stated that they hoped Palace Bar would end up like Pulse, the LGBTQ nightclub that suffered a horrific mass shooting in 2016, WPLG reported.

“It was all innocent fun for the girls. I mean they were posing with a Madonna show,” he told WPLG about the outrage. In addition to hate messages, Stanton-King’s followers also sent complaints to Miami Beach City Hall, allegedly leading to a city official confronting Donall about his business.

Not backing down, Stanton-King also spoke with WPLG, telling the news outlet, “I think that everybody is not the best parent” after being informed that the girls were at the show with their parents. She also stated that she

thought the Florida venue “would be fun and entertaining” before seeing the young girls strutting and posing with the drag queen.

When asked if she was homophobic or against the LGBTQ community, Stanton-King replied, “I’m not anti-anything. I’m anti-sexual exploitation of children.

Stanton-King’s Instagram account tells a different story.
