The mayor’s grandson had been in trouble with the law in the past, and authorities believe that the killer was known to Jackson. A car registered to Jackson was seen near the crime scene of the murder of Antonio Parra in 2019. However, no murder charges were ever filed against Jackson.
He was facing assault charges for dragging a police officer while trying to flee after a traffic stop. The officer was not injured, and Jackson later turned himself in. He was released on a bond of $10,000.
A $5,000 reward is being offered, and police are asking with pertinent information to call 216-623-5464 and Crimestoppers at 216-25-CRIME if you wish to be anonymous. No information about possible suspects was released, but police are investigating the possibility of a connection between Jackson’s death and Parra’s death.
