Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb is out for the season after sustaining a knee injury during Monday night’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Browns lost to the Steelers 26-22.
The 27-year-old’s knee injury happened during the first half of the game amid a tackle. The running back fell on his left leg, causing his knee to bend abnormally.
I just remembered that Nick Chubb had the same injury to the same knee back in in college.pic.twitter.com/4VIUfG1zjZ

Due to how graphic the injury was, broadcasters announced they were prohibited from showing the replay.
“Yeah, we’re not going to show it. It’s as bad as you can imagine,” Troy Aikman, sports analyst, said.
During a press conference, Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson stated that Chubb had a similar knee injury in college and that the team supported him as he recovered.
Fans took to Twitter with “get well” wishes and prayers.

Nick Chubb is everything that is good about football. I’ve been through 0-16, 1-15, helmet incidents, bizarre meltdowns, and more losing seasons than the average fan can bear. Today is my absolute low-point as a Browns fan.

Browns pass-rusher Myles Garrett explained the team was devastated over Chubb’s injury, saying, “It f**king hurts. That’s our brother, that’s my brother, and it’s a blow for the whole team.”
Chubb has been dubbed the best running back, exceeding the 1,000-yard mark during his six-year career. But his best year was 2022, where he landed 1,525 yards and 12 touchdowns.
