Power couple Ciara and Russell Wilson’s Why Not You Academy, a high school that focuses on preparing students for higher education and building empowerment, will officially open this fall. Students at the school, which is located in Des Moines, Washington, will participate in weekly internships and be provided with a mentor to help aid them in their college and career path.
A member of the Washington State Charter Schools Association, Why Not You Academy is described as “a new type of high school.” Ciara and Wilson recently visited the school to offer more insight into their emerging academy.

There’s no greater feeling than being able to provide an opportunity to further a child’s education through our @wnyacademy! So much fun surprising and speaking with some of the founding students of the WNYA. Dreams really do come true!”
