A TikTok video has gone viral of a Karen harassing a Black HVAC technician attempting to work on her home. Although it’s only been recently popularized, the video was taken back in November.
Alonzo Harmon, the HVAC technician, uploaded the video on February 8 that showed a white woman in Golden Valley, Minnesota, calling the police on Harmon for no reason.
The video opened with the woman, identified as Elizabeth, standing inside a garage and talking on the phone. She said into the phone,
“He says I’m rude, and he just threatened me right now. Harmon responded in the video while standing several feet away from the woman, “What threat did I make towards you, ma’am?”Elizabeth began crying hysterically, suddenly, and she yelled, “Please, please, please! I’m so scared right now! I’m shaking right now! Please, please! …I’m so scared!”
Harmon never stepped inside the garage, commented that she was faking the crying, and continued to scoff, “I’ve never in my life had to deal with no bulls*** like this.”

The Golden Valley Police Department announced that they responded to the call made by the Karen but determined that there was no reason to seek further action.
According to the Daily Beast, Harmon reported that he went to Elizabeth’s house to clean her air ducts, but she began harassing him as soon as he entered. She repeatedly asked him for his qualifications and wondered aloud why “they let [him] do a job like this.”
“Once I actually started to try to do my job, she was over my back. Basically, [continuously] asking me the same question on how I got the job. What was my interest in the job, do I actually know what I’m doing? Like, do I actually know what I’m doing in the home and stuff like that,”
Harmon explained that he decided just to walk away from the job when she refused to trust him to do the cleaning.
