‘Birth Happens:’ Black ‘Supermom’ Gives Birth In Hospital Hallway– While Standing

A Black “Supermom” gave birth to her child in the middle of a hospital hallway.- while standing

A video captured Tonisha Petty-Jones giving birth and was posted on bada**motherbirther’s Instagram.

The video was captioned, “Mother: @tanisha_babi. Birth Happens.”

The video, which garnered over 90,000 likes shows Jones surrounded by applauding nurses pulling the newborn directly out of her leggings. She held the newborn connected by the umbilical cord, with a smirk on her face.

“Keep the head down, keep the head down,” “Wow,” “Good Job!” and “Yay!,” hospital staff said in amazement.

Jones, who is a mother of three, shared the video on Facebook with the caption, “No man can ever n I mean ever try to downplay a woman. IDC wat it looks like dis was not easy nor planned, but I am woman so men bow down 🙇🏽‍♂️ #naturalbirth #girlmom #iamwoman dey need to pay me atp baby#3 I’m done.”

The new mom received several supportive messages in the comments of the videos.

“This is incredible. How is she even standing up ??? Such a strong Mama. Beautiful video.”

Someone wrote, “This is powerful and amazing! Mama smiles like it’s no big deal that she just birthed a whole human standing up next to the wheelchair. That woman is a force to be reckoned with!”

Another person wrote, “Now she’s a bad*ss! She just pulled that baby out like she the Queen of birthing. And is!”

Other people commented on the look she gave hospital staff, a classic Black woman look.

“That smug look on her face. Made it look casual, I love it!,” one person wrote with laughing emojis.

“The look at the end says ‘this more more than a head ma’am. Amazing,” another person wrote.
