President Barack Obama has planned a star-studded soirée for his 60th birthday at his home on Martha’s Vineyard, The Hill reported. The Obamas bought a seven-bedroom oceanfront home on the island in 2019 for $11.75 million. The 30-acre property also includes a private beach.
Actor George Clooney and Oprah Winfrey are expected to attend, along with many of Obama’s celebrity friends. An official account of the guest list has not been revealed, but if his 50th birthday party held at The White House was any indication, Obama is
about to turn up at the 7,000 square-foot home.According to Politico, celebrities like Charles Barkley, Hillary Clinton, Herbie Hancock, Tom Hanks, Hill Harper, Grant Hill, Chris Rock, Rita Wilson, Oprah Winfrey, Stevie Wonder and Jay Z were all in attendance. The party also included performances by Hancock, Ledisi and Wonder. Guests danced as the party lasted well into the next day.
Since leaving office, he has been a busy man, and one of his projects includes a podcast with musician Bruce Springsteen called Renegades: Born in the USA. The two discussed the state of the country and life in general. The podcast is being turned into a book and will include the conversations between the two men. The book will be released on October 10.
Guests will be required to have a COVID-19 test before attending the birthday party. A source said that Obama’s birthday party would be big, and no doubt his wife and former First Lady Michelle Obama will help make the birthday bash a success.
“It’s going to be big.”
