Atlanta airport shooting suspect Raïssa Kengne allegedly named victim Wesley Freeman in a rant uploaded to her LinkedIn page about her job, calling the man her “laziest manager.”
Kengne reportedly called Freeman her “laziest manager” in the lengthy LinkedIn posts. The 40-year-old man was one of two victims killed in the recent triple-shooting at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport on Aug. 22.
“Wesley Freeman […] is the laziest manager I have had the displeasure of working for,” the post read. “His laziness is only surpassed by his incompetence. How hard is it really to test elevated privileges for systems when you have professional organizations and the SEC already setting the standards for you? You bet I am suing all of them! It is a shame that the sixth biggest public accounting firm has criminals at the top. No one is above the law.”
She also alleged that her former employer, BDO USA, “retaliated against” her and had her home broken into.
“I was severely retaliated against and constructively discharged,” she said. “My home was broken into. My life and my [family’s] lives were threatened. Furthermore, BDO USA’s employees and partners leverage their relationship with people living in my condominium in order to pursue the retaliation at my home.”
The Atlanta woman was arrested at the Hartsfield-Jackson after she went on an alleged shooting spree at the condos on 1280 West Peachtree Street. Police were able to track her down and arrest her after she was reportedly spotted fleeing the scene on surveillance footage.
The two victims killed in the shooting were identified as Freeman and 60-year-old Michael Shinners. A third victim, Mike Horne, was reportedly brought to a local hospital for his injuries.
Reports said a federal lawsuit filed by Kengne might reveal a motive in the shooting, as it was filed against her former employer and mentioned Freeman long before the incident. In the suit, Kengne accused the company of “retaliation, persecution, harassment, intimidation, threats, burglary and computer hacking” after she reportedly blew the whistle on a “significant deficiency” in an audit that the company ignored. Additionally, she is suing multiple 1280 West management team members and the 1280 West board members for “withholding the plaintiff’s mail, including mail from Georgia Power.”
Kengne has been charged with two counts of murder, two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies, three counts of aggravated assault and two counts of false imprisonment.
